Mother's and Newborns

Assistance to newborns and their mothers is an important part of our mission. We provide "newborn kits" to help mothers care for their children.

School Kits

Simple items go along way to help a child with school. Kits containing pencils, crayons, notebooks and other supplies are a great help for children and teachers.

President/Founder - Eric M. Rose

ZimbabWEcare was founded in 2014 after my wife and I vacationed in South Africa. We did the typical tourist things and safaris and I fell in love the the country but even more so I fell in love with the people I met. What was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip had such an impact on me that I knew I had to do something to get back to Africa and more importantly to give back to the people of Africa. I came home and started to put together the idea of creating an organization where we would bring healthcare professionals and humanitarians back to Africa every year to help in the most rural locations. ZimbabWEcare was born of that idea and Zimbabwe was chosen as our destination due to the key resources and contacts we had made in that area. We teamed up with our local Zimbabwean contacts to establish means whereby we could register our Physicians and personnel, determine the areas to focus our trips on, and help bring in the much needed medical supplies and medicines for our annual mission trips. Our mission has been from the start to focus on Healthcare, Humanitarian, and Hope- you can send the first two, but Hope you cannot be sent, you must bring hope. So we are dedicated to our bringing Healthcare, Humanitarian, and Hope with us each year. ZimbabWEcare is a registered 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization, none of our Board Members take any compensation or stipend for our work with ZimbabWEcare. Each year we return to Zimbabwe for a 2 week medical and humanitarian mission trip providing services in some of the most remote areas of the country. Each member of the trip pays their own way and helps gather additional supplies for our trip. As such we count heavily on donations from organizations and people such as yourself to help round out our supplies and make our trips successful. We are grateful for those who help make our trips successful and for the team members past and present who make the time and effort to come with us and to make a difference to those we meet along the way.
